Shakhtar D. hosted a wounded Real Madrid for their Group A match. The final result 3 - 4 with Real Madrid collapsing in defence after being 0 - 4. It all happened in the 78th min when a penalty was awarded & converted by Teixeira. Then followed another by Dentinho in the 84th min & Teixeira in the 89th min nearly equalizing the match.
Before all this drama Real Madrid without James, Benzema, Kroos, Navas & Danilo (later came on to replace injured Varane) starting controlled proceeding with goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 17th min, Modric in the 50th min, Carvajal in the 52nd & Cristiano Ronaldo in the 71st min.
After all these goals we witnessed a total transformation for the worst from Real Madrid with terrible defensive marking & positioning that nearly gave the surprise. Coach Benitez & fans will be disappointed with the bad performance of the last 15 minutes from Real Madrid.
The good news is they remain top of Group A.
Needed victory for Atletico de Madrid over Galatasaray 2 - 0 in their Group C clash. Both goals from Griezmann, in the 12th & 65th min. Atletico de Madrid will now play it out with Benfica in the next match for the top spot of Group C.
Bad news for Spanish Football was the 4 - 2 defeat away by Sevilla FC at the hands of German Club Borussia MGladbach in their Group D game. The loss by Sevilla leaves them out from advancing further in the Champions League competition. The goals came in the following order:

- Johnson 67th min, 2 - 0
- Raffael 77th min, 3 - 0
- Vitolo 81st min, 3 - 1
- Stindl 82nd min, 4 - 1
